1 3/4 cup flour
2 3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup nuts
1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed ripe banana (brown)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add nuts and blend.
Beat in shortening until creamy, about 2 minutes at medium speed.
Gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy after each addition.
Add eggs and beat until thick.
Add flour mixture and bananas alternately, blending thoroughly after each addition.
Great bottom of 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 3 loaf pan.
Bake for 60-70 minutes
