1 14 oz pkg caramels
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 box (18 1/2 oz) German Chocolate cake mix
3/4 cup softened margarine
1 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans)
12 oz semi sweet chocolate pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk on
top of double boiler. Stir till melted. Combine cake mix, remaining milk and softened margarine. Blend until mixture holds together. Stir in nuts. Press one-half of cake mixture in greased 13x9 pan. Bake 6 min at 350 . Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate pieces on top. Pour melted caramel evenly over top. Crumble remaining mix over caramel and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Cool slightly and cut into bars.
