2/3 c. catsup
1/2 c. water
1/3 c. lemon juice
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. ground pepper
1/4 tsp. crushed basil
Dash of Tabasco sauce
1 flank steak, about 1 1/2 lb. scored

Directions:
Directions:
Marinade: Combine all ingredients (except steak). Simmer
uncovered 10 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Pour over
steak in shallow baking dish. Let stand in refrigerator several
hours or overnight, spooning sauce over occasionally. Place
over hot coals. Broil 5 minutes; turn over and broil 5 minutes
more or until done. Cut very thin slices diagonally across the
grain.
