2 lb. sirloin steak, cut into strips
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
1 tsp. garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. flour
1 8 oz. carton sour cream
1 10 1/2 oz. can beef broth plus 1/2 soup can water
3/4 tsp. thyme
2 tbsp. red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly brown the meat, onions, and mushrooms in vegetable oil. Add the beef broth and water and simmer about 10 minutes.

Mix flour and sour cream together, along with other spices and stir into beef broth, stirring until smooth. Add wine.

Serve over buttered noodles.

This is one of my Dad's favorite recipes and was often served for his birthday or Father's Day. As I child, I didn't care much for it but I eventually saw the light and enjoy it as an adult.
