1 pkg. fresh cranberries
2/3 - 3/4 cup sugar
1 small pkg. Jello (wild strawberry or cranberry)
1 cup boiling water
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
(I can never make this salad without the vivid memory of Mom calling out, “Al, make sure that celery is finely chopped!)
1/2- 3/4 c. walnuts
Small can crushed pineapple, drained

Directions:

Chop cranberries coarsely in small food processor. In a large bowl, add sugar to cranberries and stir gently. Let stand a few minutes. In a separate bowl, dissolve Jello in boiling water. Process walnuts in food processor. Add celery, walnuts, and pineapple to cranberries. Mix in Jello, then pour into an 8x8 pan to chill. Let set at least 6 hours.
