1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
6 oz baking chocolate, melted and cooled
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.

In bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar. Add melted chocolate, egg and vanilla; add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir until soft dough forms. Stir in nuts. Roll dough into 1 inch balls; roll in remaining sugar.

Place 2 inches apart on greased baking dish. Flatten balls slightly with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.

Bake 7-9 minutes.
