1 (5 lb.) beef brisket
1/2 t salt
1/2 t. pepper
1 lb. carrots, cut into chucks
4 lbs. small new potatoes
2 cups water
1 ( 1oz) envelope onion soup mix

Directions:
Directions:
Trim fat from brisket; place brisket in a large dutch oven. Sprinkle with salt and peper. Add carrot chunks and next three ingredients; sprinkle with soup mix. Bake covered, at 350 F x 4 hours.
