1 lb Asparagus
1/2 C Flour
1/2 C Cornmeal
1/2 cube Butter
Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse asparagus and cut off ends where tender. Then cut asparagus in chunks. Mix flour and cornmeal salt and pepper. Dredge asparagus in the flour mixture.
Fry over medium heat with butter until tender.
Salt and pepper to taste.

This is an old recipe of my mother's brought from Arkansaswhen Mom was a little girl. All of the Allred clan have been raised on it. I don't fix it as often as I should, but Sheri Lisle says it the only way they eat asparagus.
