3&1/4 C pumpkin
1 C sugar
2&2/3 C brown sugar
1 C shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon extract
5 C flour
2 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1&1/2 tsp baking soda
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

FROSTING:
1/4 C pumpkin
4 TBSP soft butter
1 lb powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp lemon extract
dash of salt
milk to desired consistency

Beat sugar, shortening, eggs and extracts; add pumpkin. Mix together dry ingredients, then stir with mixture. Drop onto cookie sheet and bake at 375º for 15 min.

FROSTING:
Blend all together and spread onto cookies.
