2 1/2 cups SR flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup butter-flavored shortening
1 egg slightly beaten
2/3 cups milk
1 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and sugar in bowl and stir well. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until resembles coarse meal.

Combine egg and milk; add to flour mixture, stirring until moistened. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead 3 or 4 times.

Roll out to 1/2" thickness, cut with a 3" biscuit cutter.

Bake at 450º for 10-12 minutes on ungreased baking sheet.
