3 1/2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 stick butter-room temperature
1 stick margarine-room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup oil-like canola, wesson, etc.
1 cup oatmeal-instant
1 cup crushed corn flakes-not too fine
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 cup crushed nuts-opt. walnuts, pecan, or your favorite

Directions:

Sift first three ingredients and put aside.
Cream butter, margarine, add sugars, beat until blended. Add egg, milk, and vanilla, blend until combined. Combine flour mixture alternately with the 1/2 cup oil, blend well, combine the oatmeal and corn flakes by hand, add chocolate chips and nuts. Use a cookie scoop so all the cookies will be the same size, or use a teaspoon, place on a ungreased baking sheet. Bake 350º for 12-15 minutes, depending on your oven.
