3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup orange juice
1 can (8 1/4 oz) crushed pineapple undrained
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.

Grease bottom only of loaf pan.

Beat brown sugar and shortening in bowl; beat in egg. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and orange juice. Stir in pineapple (with syrup) and pecans.

Spread in pan.

Bake about 55 minutes.
