3/4 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Sugar ( White or Brown )
2 Eggs
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Cup and 2 Tbsp Flour
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/3 Cup Milk
1 Tsp - 1 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Seedless Raisins ( Soak if not moist )
3 Cups Old-Fashioned Oatmeal
1 Cup Nuts or
1 Cup Coconut or
1 Cup Chocolate Chips

Directions:

Cream shortening, sugar thoroughly. Beat in egg, one at a time. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture alternating with milk. Stir in vanilla, add oats and raisins and then nuts or coconut or chips.
Drop from teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes. Cookies don't spread out.
