1/4 C shortening
1/4 C butter
1 C sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 2/3 C flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 C sour cream

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º Mix shortening, butter, sugar, egg, vanilla and sour cream. Blend flour and dry ingredients. Cream alternating with shortening. Roll 1/4 inch thick, cut, place on cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minute

Great Christmas, Valentine or Easter cookies. The boys would ask for birthday treats for their class and this was one of their requests. Michelle Pruett always wants them for Valentine's Day! This recipe is from Aunt Orie, who is Terrie's mom.
