2 cups sour cream
2 cups deli ham rolled up and sliced into very thin ribbons, then cut ribbons in thirds.
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1/2 cup finely chopped water chestnuts
2 TBS finely chopped fresh dill
1/2 tbs Beau Monde Seasoning (or more to taste)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 TBS toasted sesame seeds

Katie, you will remember this, I made this for your reception. It's a good base for any kind of dip if you leave out the ham. Works with smoked salmon, halibut or tuna. Can also use crab, or BBQ chicken.
I like it best with the ham. Great with sliced french bread, or crackers, bagels it goes with everything, men really like it and it's a hit with teenagers
