2 C diced Potatoes
1/2 C diced Celery
2 C Water
1/2 C diced Carrots
2 Tbs chopped Onions

Directions:
Directions:
Cook vegetables until tender and do not drain.

Make a white sauce:
1/4 C margarine, 2 C milk and 1/2 C flour

Add white sauce to hot vegetables. Add 2 C chicken broth, 1 C diced ham, 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese and 1 tbs. parsley flakes. Cook until thickened. Stir very often because it scorches easily. Season lightly to taste.

This is a hearty soup perfect for winter. I serve with cornbread or homemade bread. The recipe was given to me by an old family friend, Marie Kast
