10 cent knee-bone
15 cents work of cross rib
3 quarts of water
2 small onions
bunch of carrots
celery
fresh tomatoes
2 handfuls of rice

Directions:
Directions:
Buy a 10 cent knee-bone and 15 cents work of cross rib. Place in pot with about 3 quarts of water. Chop and fry 2 small onions and add meat. Add one bunch of carrots and a little celery. Buy 25 cents worth of fresh tomatoes. Peel them and place in separate pot. Cook for about 1 hour, strain and add to soup. Add 2 handfuls of rice when soup is nearly done. Add salt, pepper and celery. Salt to taste.
