1/4 c. butter, 3/4 c. chopped onion, 1c. chopped celery, 1 c. raw rice, 1 envelope dry chicken noodle soup mix, 21/2 c. water, 1tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1/4tsp. sage, 1/4 tsp. thyme.

In skillet melt butter, saute onions, celery and rice until rice is golden brown. Stir in remaining ingredients, cover and simmer 15. minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from the heat and let stand 10 minutes. Serve and may garnish with a couple shakes of dried parsley flakes.
