2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. butter
2-1/2 c. raw peanuts
1-1/2 tsp. sifted baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a heavy pan and clip a candy thermometer to pan. Cook and stir over med.-high heat until mixture boils. (approx. 6 min.) Reduce heat (gentle boil) and cook stirring occasionally to 275º. Add peanuts, stirring often to 295º. Remove pan from heat & stir in sifted soda. Immediately pour onto 2 buttered baking sheets. Allow to cool and break into pieces.
