1 1/4 c boiling water
1 c quick oats
1 stick oleo
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg

6 T oleo, melted
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 c cream
1 c nuts
1/2 c sugar
1 c coconut

CAKE: Pour boiling water over oats. Add oleo; let stand 20 minutes. Add sugars, eggs, flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well. Pour in 9x13" greased pan. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

TOPPING: Mix all ingredients together. Cook enough to dissolve. Spread on cake and place under broiler until coconut is brown (about 3-5 minutes).
