1/2 c. milk
1 egg beaten

1 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbls. of flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1/4 t. nutmeg

Topping;
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. vanilla

1/2 c. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400.
Grease and flour 3 mini muffin tins

Mix milk and egg.
Add sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg mix well. Add flour in 3 additions. Mixing after each addition. Dough should be smooth.

Spoon batter into greased and floured baking tins. Fill 1/2 to 2/3 full.

Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Mix cinnamon, sugar and vanilla together. Mash with fork to mix vanilla in the sugar mixture.

While donuts are hot and roll in melted butter then the cinnamon sugar mixture.

These remind me of Mom's old fashioned cake donuts. By mixing the vanilla with the sugar there is a fresh vanilla taste with every bite.
