3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. butter or margarine
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs

Butter Sauce:
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
2 tbsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour 12 c. bundt pan. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except butter sauce. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes on medium speed. Pour into pan and bake 60 to 75 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. In small saucepan, combine sugar, water , vanilla and butter; heat butter until melted. Prick cake deeply with fork. Pour 3/4 c. hot butter sauce over cake. Cool upright in pan for 5 minutes. Turn over onto serving plate. Spoon or brush remaining sauce over cake.
