1 c. plus 2 T. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
6 T. sugar
6 T. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1 egg
6 oz. package chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts (Optional)

Combine flour, soda and salt set aside. Beat shortening, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and water until creamy. Add egg to mixture and beat well. Then add all the flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by 1/2 tsp. well rounded onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 - 12 minutes at 350.
