Ingredients:
1# ground Beef
1/8 T garlic powder or 2 cloves of fresh garlic
1 med. onion chopped

(2) 15oz. cans of tomato sauce
1 t. basil
2 Tbls chopped parsley
1 t. salt

1 t. oregano
1 Tbls parsley flakes

1 # shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
6 lasagna noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat, onion and garlic over medium heat until done in large skillet. Drain off any grease.

Add tomato sauce, basil, parsley, salt and sugar to meat mixture. simmer for 15-20 minutes.

In blender or food processor, blend cottage cheese, oregano and last of parsley until smooth. If the cottage cheese has a lot of liquid I add 1 Tbls of flour. The flour will help thicken the sauce.

Lightly grease a 9x13 pan and Place 3 noodles in the bottom.
Spoon 1/2 of the meat mixture and sauce over the noodles. Add cottage cheese mixture and spread evenly over the sauce. Sprinkled on the shredded cheese.
Add one more layer of noodles.
Add remaining sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving

This recipe freezes well. I often make a batch and a half of sauce and use 8 noodles and (2) 7 x 11 pans and freeze one.
