2 c. shortening
1/2 c. liquid shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. quick oatmeal
1 - 6 oz. package chocolate chips
1 c. nuts (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortenings, sugar, brown sugar together. Then add vanilla and eggs, beat well. Next mix flour, soda, salt, and baking powder together. Add to moist mixture. Then add oatmeal and chocolate chip and nuts. Drop by spoonful and bake at 350 until golden brown.
