2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon

1/2 (8-oz) sour cream
2 or 3 eggs
1 t. vanilla extract

1 cup butter
1 cup water or coffee
5 T. unsweetened cocoa powder

6 T. milk
5 or 6 T. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter

4 cups confectioners sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease & flour a 10x15" pan.

2. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt & cinnamon.
Mix in sour cream.
Beat in eggs. Set aside.

In saucepan, melt butter.
Stir in water or coffee & cocoa. Bring to boil then remove from heat. Slightly Cool.
Stir in cocoa mixture into dry ingredients.

3. Pour batter into pan.
Bake 20 min.

4. Icing:
In large saucepan, combine milk, cocoa & butter. Bring to boil then remove from heat.
Stir in sugar & vanilla.
Fold in nuts.
Spread over warm cake.
