1 (8.5 oz) package corn bread/ muffin mix
1/3 cup milk
1/4 c vegetable oil
1 egg
1 large onion, chopped
1 (8 oz) can cream style corn
1 1/2 c shredded cheddar chees, divided
1 c sour cream
1/2 c mayonaisse
1 tsp salt
2 drops hot pepper sauce

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the corn bread mix, milk, oil, and egg. Spread in a greased 9 inch square baking pan. I another bowl, combine the onion, corn, 1 c cheddar cheese, sour cream, mayonaisse, salt, and hot pepper sauce, mix well. Spoon over the batter. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 15 minutes before cutting. Refrigerate leftovers.
