1 28 oz can tomato sauce
3 tbls lemon juice
4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbls dried parsley
1 tsp dried thyme
2 bay leaves
2 tbls brown sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 med onion, cut into rings
3 lbs beef short ribs

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large pan over medium heat, stir in the tomato sauce, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in parsley, thyme, bay leaves, brown sugar, salt, and red pepper flakes. Add onions and short ribs, and stir together until mixture comes to a boil.

2. Cover, reduce heat to medium low, and simmer: stirring occasionally and skimming fat from surface, until meat is tender, about 2 1/2 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving.

3. Serve over rice.
