2 tbsp shortening
2 lbs. beef stew meat
1 sliced onion
1 c. water
2 large potatoes (sliced thin)
1 can mushroom soup
1 c. sour cream
1-1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1-1/2 c. wheaties (crushed)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in shortening, add onion and water and simmer until tender. Place in 9x13 pan. Arrange potato slices on top. Mix sour cream and soup together with milk and seasoning and pour over the top. Sprinkle with cheese and cereal. Bake uncovered @ 350 for approx. 1 1/2 hours.
