Directions:
Soften 1/2 gallon ice cream. Crumble 48 Oreo cookies. Mix half the cookies crumbs with butter and press in bottom of 9" x 13" pan, whose sides are 2" deep or deeper. Freeze for at least 30 minutes. Then, remove pan from freezer and spread softened ice cream over cookie crust. Return pan to freezer for at least an hour. Meanwhile, soften second 1/2 gallon of ice cream. Mix remaining cookie crumbs with chocolate syrup. Remove pan from freezer, spread second batch of cookie crumbs over ice cream and return to freezer for at least 30 minutes. Once again, remove pan from freezer and spread second 1/2 gallon of ice cream over second layer of cookie crumbs. Return pan to freezer for at least 2 hours. For the final layer, remove pan from freezer, top cake with whipped cream or Cool Whip and return to freezer 'til ready to serve-at least another hour..

Personal Notes:
This does not require a lot of thawing time. Please note, if your pan does not have deep sides, use only a 1/4 of a gallon of ice cream for each layer.
