1/2 C shortening
1 C sugar
2 eggs
2 C sifted flour
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C nuts (optional)
1 C mashed bananas (2-3 bananas)
1/2 C sour milk (add 2 Tbsp vinegar to regular milk to equal 1/2 cup)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs.

Add milk alternately with sifted flour, soda and salt; then nuts. Add bananas last. Placed in a greased loaf pan(s).
Bake 1 hour at 350º.
