2 qt. (8 cups) apple cider or apple juice
3/4 c. sugar (or less)
1 T. whole allspice (place in a tea ball)
1 pt. (2 cups) cranberry juice
2 cinnamon sticks
1 small orange studded with cloves
1 c. rum (optional)
1 T. aromatic bitter (optional)

Directions:

Mix altogether in crock pot or in a pan on the stove, and simmer for four hours or more.
