Salad:
8 cups torn leaf lettuce
8 cups torn romaine lettuce
1 red onion, thinly sliced
2 c. mandarin oranges, drained
2 avacados, thinly sliced

Dressing:
2/3 c. oil
1/4 c. lime juice
2 Tbls. orange juice
2 Tbls. sugar
1 tsp. lime zest
1 tsp. orange zest

Sugared Pecan Garnish:
1/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. pecan halves or pieces

Directions:

Salad:
Combine the lettuce, onion, oranges. Toss gently. Slice avocados and dip in lemon juice water to avoild discoloration. Arrange avocados on top of salad.
Dressing:
Combine the ingredients in an airtight jar and shake well or process in a blender. Chill
Garnish: Mix the sugar and the pecans in a small skillet. Cook over low heat until the sugar melts. Stirring to coat the nuts well. Spread on foil and cool. Break pecans apart. Sprinkle over the avacados.
