1 pkg. (3 oz. ) strawberry JELLO
1 pkg. (10 oz.) sliced frozen strawberries
1 Tbls. sugar
dash of salt
1 cup whipping cream, whipped with 1 Tbls.sugar 1/2 of a large angel food cake, torn in pieces

Dissolve JELLO in 1 1/4 cups boiling water. Stir in strawberries, sugar, and salt. Cool until JELLO becomes thick and syrupy. Fold in whipped cream (save about 1/4 cup for garnish). Break about 1/2 of the half cake into a 2 to 3 quart serving bowl. Pour half of the strawberry cream mixture over cake. Add another layer of torn cake pieces and then remaining strawberry cream mixture. Top each serving with drop of whipped cream.
