Ingredients:  
1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. soda
3 c. flour
4 c. chopped apples
nuts - optional

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Add salt, cinnamon, soda and flour. Fold in apples and nuts. Bake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.

Frost with carmel icing or ceam cheese frosting.
