5 lb extra lean ground beef
1/4 c dried minced onion
1/3 c flour
1-8 oz can tomato sauce
1 c water
1 c ketchup
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c cider vinegar
1/4 c yellow mustard
2 to 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 to 2 tbsp chili powder
1/4 to 1/2 tsp bottled hot pepper sauce (optional)
32 hamburger buns

In a 4-quart pot, cook half of the ground beef and onion until no pink remains. Drain in colander. Cook remaining beef. Drain fat.
Return cooked meat mixture to pot. Stir in flour, tomato sauce, water, ketchup, brown sugar, cider vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and if desired, hot pepper sauce. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover; simmer about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
