CAKE:
1 c. Oleo
4 oz coconut
1/2 c. buttermilk
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. nut meats
1/2 c. chopped dates
1 lb. candy orange slices, cut in small pieces.

GLAZE:
1 c. orange juice
2 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Roll nuts, candy, and dates in a small portion of flour. Set aside.

Cream butter & sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well.

Combine flour and soda and add to creamed mixture. fold in nuts, candy, dates & coconut.

Bake in angel food pan 2 1/2 hrs. at 250º. Test with tooth pick - May need to bake a little longer.

Whisk glaze together and pour over hot cake before removing from pan.

Leave in pan 8 hours or overnight. Store a few days in refrigerator.
