1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. margarine
1 1/4 c. sugar
6 eggs
2 TB. lemon flavor
3 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 to 4 cups flour
1/2 TB. of anise flavoring may used if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, margarine and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs a few at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flavorings. Add in flour, one cup at a time, to create a thick dough. Heat pizzelle iron. Drop 1 tablespoon of dough onto iron and cook until golden. Cookies can be left to cool or rolled into cones or rolls. Filled as desired with filling of choice.
