1 C powdered sugar
1 C butter or shortening
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla or almond flavoring
2 C flour
1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the powdered sugar and the butter or shortening. Beat in egg and vanilla/almond flavoring. Add flour and baking soda and mix well. Chill dough about 1 hour, drop by rounded teaspoons on cookie sheet. Smash with fork, sprinkle with sugar, and bake 8-10 mins at 350.
