1 sm green bell pepper, diced
1 sm onion, diced
1 T margarine or butter
1 can tomatoes, undrained (28 oz)
1 c water
3/4 c rice
1 T brown sugar
1 t salt
1 t chili powder
1/4 t pepper
tabasco to taste

Saute onions and bell pepper in butter. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for thirty minutes or until rice is done.
