1/2 C vegetable shortning
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 lb confectioner's sugar
2 T powdered milk
1/2 C water (for dissolving milk powder)

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, combine the shortning, vanilla and salt and cream together until incorporated. Slowly add the sugar until it forms a very thick consistency. Dissolve the powdered milk in the water and gradually add just 1 or 2 tablespoons at a time until icing is a nice spreadable consistency.
