1 C flour
1 1/2 t sugar
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/4 t cinnamon
1 C milk
1 egg, beaten
8 slices french bread

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Blend milk and egg; add to the dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Dip bread into batter and fry in oil heated to 375º for 4 - 5 min. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with butter and warm syrup.
