½ cup shortening
1 ½ cup brown sugar (packed down)
1 cup 2 tbsp flour
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup cocoanut
1 cup nuts



Directions:
Directions:
½ cup shortening
½ cup brown sugar (packed down)
1 cup flour - Mix - Press and flatten with hand to cover bottom of ungreased pan ( 9x13)
Bake 10 min -Let cool few minutes before spreading cocoanut topping



Coconut Topping
Beat well 2 eggs - Stir in 1 cup brown sugar, 1tsp vanilla
Mix together - add 2 tbl flour, tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt
Mix in 1 cup cocoanut and 1 cup nuts
Bake 25 minutes at 350 - Cool
Watch so they don’t get too brown
