2 c. hot water
1/2 c. cinnamon candied redhots

1, 3-oz pkg. cherry Jelloİ
1, 3-oz pkg. lemon Jelloİ

3 c. chilled apple sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Boil first two ingredients over medium heat until candy melts. Add hot liquid to the cherry & lemon Jellosİ. Cool slightly. Add applesauce & chill until firm.

Before serving, spread the following ingredients blended together on top of the jelloİ:

4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. Coolwhipİ
1/4 c. mayonnaise

Sprinkle with chopped nuts (optional) & enjoy!

I got this recipe from my sis-in-law, Kathleen Daughrity. It sounds odd, but has a delightful flavor that is both refreshing and cool. Mom enjoyed this dish when I prepared it often at family gatherings.
