2 or 3 California avocados (2 cups sieved)
3 T. lemon juice
1-3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. Tabasco
1-1/2 envelopes plain gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
1 cup boiling water
1 cup dairy sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1 large tomato, diced

Cut avocados in half; peel, mash, and sieve, or whiz in a blender until smooth. Blend in lemon juice, salt, Tabasco. Soften gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water; dissolve in boiling water; cool to room temperature. Stir in seasoned avocado, sour cream, mayonnaise; chill until mixture mounds on spoon. Fold in onion and tomato; turn into 5-cup ring mold and chill until firm. Unmold and garnish with salad greens.
