1 lb. lean ground beef
1 med. onion (chopped)
1 med. green pepper (chopped)
1 TBS. salad oil
1 8 oz. pkg. elbow macaroni
1 lb. (16 oz.) can dark red kidney beans
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté ground been, onion & green pepper in hot oil in heavy skillet until meat is brown; pour off oil.
Add all other ingredients except cheese; simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Top with cheese, and heat until cheese melts.
Serve with tortilla chips.
