1 Cup raisins
1 Cup water simmer these until raisin plumps up and set aside and save liquid.
Cream 3/4 cup crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
Then add raisins & liquid into the mixture and add
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup nuts (optional) Mom and I always used 1 cup nuts & we preferred pecans. Oh don't forget th chop up the nuts.

Drop by teaspoons full on ungreased cookie sheet.

400 degrees for approximately 7 to 12 minutes, depends on how dark you want your cookies.

Then when all is done and cooled, get a glass of milk and enjoy.
