4 c flour
1 envelope yeast
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 c. butter
3 egg yolks
1 c sour cream
1 c sugar

Filling:
3 egg whites
1 c sugar
1 c finely chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Dough:
Mix in large bowl flour, yeast and salt. Cut butter into flour mixture. This mixture should resemble small peas. Mix in small bowl eggs, sour cream and sugar. Then add to flour mixture. Stir with fork until well mixed and form a ball. Work with hands until it stays together.
Filling:
Beat egg whites in small deep bowl with electric mixer at ghigh speed till soft peaks form. Add sugar to eggs 1/4 cup at a time until whites are thick and glassy (with electric Mixer). Fold in vanilla and walnuts.
Cut ball of dough into 8 equal parts. Sprinkle equal parts of flour and sugar on board. Roll dough out till approximatley 9 inch square. Cut into 1 inch by 1 inch squares and spread 1/2 teaspoon filling the center. Fold in opposite corners. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350º 8 to 15 minutes (until lightly tan). Immediately remove from sheet to wire rack.
