6 tbsp butter
3 lg onions halved and thinly sliced
2 cans 10 1/2 oz condensed beef consomme
1 cup water
1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 loaf French bread, sliced
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Microwave recipe. In glass bowl or casserole dish, cook butter untl melted. Add onions. Cover, cook on high for 20 minutes or until onions are completely soft, stirring twice during cooking. Add consomme, water, and wine. Cover, cook on high for 10 minutes or until boiling. Pour into serving bowls. Top with bread and sprinkle with cheese. Cook until cheese is melted. Serve hot with extra French bread.
