2 eggs
2 c sugar
1 c oil
2 tsp vanilla
4 c chopped peeled apples
3 c flour
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 c chopped walnuts (optional)

Topping
1/2 c butter, creamed
2-3 oz. cheese
2 c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp orange peel grated

Preheat oven to 350º. Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Bake in a greased pan for 40-50 minutes. Mix all topping ingredients together and spread over top of cooled cake.
